About Us

Burke Onsite Computer Solutions was started in 2002 with very humble beginnings. It was born with a single screwdriver, a $20 yellow page ad, a very supportive wife and family, and a desire to provide a onsite technology support business that was trustworthy, fast, efficient and affordable.

Seventeen years later, with the help of a team of knowledgeable, dedicated technicians and very loyal clients, we have grown to be the biggest technology support business in western North Carolina.

Milestones

2002

Burke Onsite Computer Solutions was born. First client was the Morganton Housing Authority with a receipt printer issue.

2004

Brandon Richards became a partner as a network engineer and the scope of services we provided increased greatly as well as our client list. Burke Onsite also became incorporated.

2006

Ben Richards joined the team as our Commercial/Residential Onsite Technician.

2007

David Pope came on board as our Commercial Help Desk Technician.

2011

A brand new facility was purchased in Freedom Plaza located in Morganton, North Carolina and outfitted with a state of the art technology work bench and office.

2012

We made a big investment in technology infrastructure and implemented a offsite backup data center which backs up our clients mission critical data on four different media devices, storing up to 20 days of back ups.

2014

Implemented a Internship Program allowing college students the opportunity learn about the information technology field.

2019

Josh Johnson joined the team a works full time as a IT Specialist for a large healthcare client

2021

Brooke Harmon joined our team to oversee website management and office accounting.

2023

After outgrowing our office in Morganton we made the careful decision to upgrade to a larger office in Valdese. We transformed a former bank on Main Street Valdese to fit our specific needs. The project was finished in the spring of 2023. We’re proud we were able to give the building a new life.

Yes! We offer data recovery services for hard drives, SSDs, and external storage devices. If it’s recoverable, we’ll do everything we can to get your data back.

Do you offer support for both Windows and Mac systems?

We currently only work on Windows systems. If you need a Mac serviced we recommend Foothills Mac in Morganton, NC.

Can you help with virus removal and cybersecurity?

Yes. We remove viruses, malware, and spyware, and we also provide protection solutions to keep your system secure going forward.

Do you offer after-hours emergency support?
